On Monday, October 15, the Northwest Chapter of CANDOERs held its annual fall luncheon at Georgie's Beachside Grill in Newport, Oregon. Newport is located on the beautiful Oregon coast. The luncheon included an interesting presentation by CANDOER Charles Christian who told the group about his days as part of the spy plane support staff, a position he held during the Gary Powers U-2 incident. Despite stormy weather, a good time was had by all.
